After a phase of trying other plugins, mostly analog emulations, by other makers, I once again have to commend Voxengo for the quality of their plugins.
If you want a compressor that can tame the peaks of a vocal while giving it a polished sheen, I highly recommend Deft Compressor.
For giving warmth to vocals? Or a bass compressor that (in my opinion) works much better than most LA2A emulations? Use Crunchessor. I use the 2A preset to keep the levels of bass tracks consistent without sounding squeezed (something I often hear from LA2A plugins).
Deft Compressor going into Crunchessor is my preferred version of "1176 to LA2A", that is, a fast attack compressor going into a smoother attack compressor.
I still highly prefer CRTIV Tape Bus compared to other tape plugins I have if I want to keep an open high-end sound to the track. It's really good at keeping the punch and transients on the master bus while improving the crest factor (push the record gain).
I have to say that Warmifier is great since unlike other saturation plugins, it's not easy to overdo the amount of saturation. It's super subtle, and these days I find that using too much saturation has a blurring effect on tracks.
Sobor is just unbelievably good. You have to try it.
Voxengo is just really good DSP - high quality digital - without the mask or crutch of trying to emulate old, classic analog gear. There are a handful of small devs like that, and just like Voxengo I highly suggest you try them out.

I'm been pursuit for the harmonic sound for my music in PC, then I encountered Foobar2000, a music player program, then I introduced the Voxengo tube amp, warmifier and finally warmifier's VST plugins into the given player. After optimized the setting among VST and player, it produced the sound that pure, clear, clean, crispy, and warm. The journey for harmonic sound was end by mean of Voxengo's VST plugins.

Really great tools. I usually use them to make sample sounds more natural. Easy to handle.

At first I was put off by the plain looks of these Plugins. I'd pay twice or three times as much money for something that 'looked the part' but ultimately didn't sound even half as good as Voxengo. I'm learning how other Companies 'talk about' 'warm' and 'old' and 'analogue'. Voxengo just gets on with the job and delivers 10 out of 10, everytime. The funny thing is, is that I'm beginning to like those quirky looks after all :) Daniel, Dublin/Ireland!

I just wanted to say thank you for your great products! They are among the very best plug-ins I have tried and used. In particular, I would like to tell you that the Warmifier is absolutely brilliant. I applied it to several tracks on a classical violin solo CD which I recorded with one of Canada's leading violinists. Due to the nature of the violin sound on those tracks, a bit thin and cold to my liking (it so happened that the recording space the violinist provided was far from ideal), I decided to apply the Warmifier - and was stunned! The changes I made were subtle but quite significant. And now we have a beautifully sounding instrument throughout. Thank you again.
Best,

I have been using Voxengo tools in the mastering studio for as long as the studio has operated. Unique tools that are designed for correcting real world problems at prices that suit wallets. I am using Elephant, Warmifier and Soniformer here and whilst they are not used for every job they are a very important set of tools in my digital toolbox fitting in where other tools fail to meet the desired results. The fact that every plug in has a free demo means you can assess the sound qualities in your own studio with your own music. I always like to check back on the site to see if new innovative products have been developed. Keep up the good work.

If you could see my list of vst plugins and dxi plugins of every brand I have to choose from you wouldn't believe it. When trying to make a choice as to what to use when processing a track or mix, I would usually turn to the most expensive and name brand plugins in my arsenal. One day I noticed I was turning more to Voxengo plugins. When I was auditioning various plugins to find the most usable processing for a particular track, I found myself time after time returning to Voxengo plugins, and for goodness sakes, these were the free plugins. I remember one day the light went on and I thought," you know what? These are very good plugins!" I have been engineering for nearly 35 years and now that I have my own personal studio, I will always audition Vorengo plugins first, why waste valuable time trying anything else.

Initially bought the Warmifier to heat up a very solidstate guitar tone and have subsequently used it on my masters as well, brilliant bit of software, sounds so ...warm! Definitely leading to the 12AT7 for the smoothness. As a result of being so impressed I also bought HarmoniEQ and Marquis Comp which also sound lovely, very smooth and clean!

I am a 31-year-old musician that has been singing and playing guitar for 17 years. My two brothers and a lifelong friend have been writing and performing music together for over 10 years. We have gone to local studios and paid tons of money only to be rushed, overcharged, and unhappy with the end result of our music. Therefore, we decided to record our latest efforts ourselves. I studied, researched, practiced, and sought advice from several forums. I was happy with everything about our project, exept my vocals. They just sounded "dry" and "metallic". I couldn't put my finger on it, but my vocals sounded very weak next to our music (we play alternative rock...think Coheed and Cambria meets The Mars Volta). The Warmifier paired with the Voxformer is an absolutely astounding solution. My vocals sound rich, warm, and polished. Believe me, I've tried several plug-ins (compressors, EQ's, Modulators, etc., etc.) with less than satisfying results (glitches, poor quality, system crashes, you name it) but these two Voxengo plug-ins are an instant fix. I really am surprised at the difference this plug-in makes. It's almost imperceptable....very subtle, but definately there! Extremely easy to use.....I use two presets that come with the plug-ins "Warmer and Richer" on the Warmifier and "Smooth as Silk" on the Voxformer. I will be posting this on the Voxformer page as well. Thanks Voxengo.....
